Wonderful wear

I just wanted to share with you this photo. I've been wearing Rimmel green with envy for 5 days now and barely a chip in sight. Very impressed!

Lush Lip Scrub

We recently got a new lush store in town, so I went to investigate. I absolutely love the smell of that shop!

I just had to buy something but being a student I had to go for something kind to my purse.

The lush lip scrub comes in a hard wearing glass pot full to the brim. It cost just over a fiver but will last forever as you only need a small amount each time.

I chose the Mint Julips flavour as I love mint chocolate and it definitely smells and tastes (Yes, tastes!) just like it states.

The counter lady told me that you rub it on with your finger and then lick of excess. I was a bit weary at first but it is quite delicious!

You definitely need some moisturising lip balm after as the mixture is quite dry but they do feel lovely and soft afterwards.

I would recommend this product as it is definitely worth your money although I don't think this is a repurchase as it lasts for so long!

Review: Models Own Fruit Pastel Collection

This collection was bought as a present to myself for finishing my dissertation.

The polishes retail at £5 each but from the Models Own website you can get the whole collection for £20, making a saving of £5 and I also received a cute mini 4 in 1 nail file and buffer so you definitely get your moneys worth!

I was really pleased with the packaging, they came in a branded box and were then all individually wrapped.

These are my first pastels and first whole collection that I've ever purchased.

Review: Rimmel Cocktail Colour Collection

Ok, so I may have had a little impulse buy... but these colours are just gorgeous!

These colours are bright and oh so sparkly, perfect for summer days and holidays. There are only 3 colours available in UK - Baby Bellini (purple) Shirley Temple (Orange) and Hawaiian Punch (pink).

They are of quite a thin consistency and need at least 2 coats, I would say that the orange is also slightly thinner than the others. This is 1 coat of each of the colours.

They glimmer so much in the sun I just cant take my eyes off them!

Baby Bellini is a beautiful deep purple with a pink shimmer.

Shirley Temple is the kind of orange that I think would suit almost everyone. It's a bright citrus colour with a gold shimmer. I'm not usually an orange fan, but I could not leave this one out of my collection!

Hawaiian Punch is a bright pink with a red shimmer. In some lights it looks more red than pink. Either way, it's gorgeous!

I bought these in Tesco for £4 each but they had an offer for 3 for 2 so they worked out at about £2.60 each and so at that price I just couldn't resist!

I would definitely recommend all three of these lovely polishes.

NOTD: Cartoon Nails

So today I tried to create nails that look like they should be on a cartoon.

I learnt that my hands are not as steady as I thought!

These are definitely not my best and the matte top coat also turned the white into a yellow, maybe it's because it's a cheap top coat. I think next time I might try and outline using a pen rather than a brush, I would imagine it would keep my lines neater.

I would definitely not class myself as a pro by all means, and I am not happy with these nails at all. But I think it's important to show the bad and the ugly, as well as the good!

They look pretty good from a distance though, as in, they really do look like cartoon nails!

Just make sure you don't get close enough to see those hideous lines!

This is what I used:

Have you ever tried the cartoon nails? Did you have the same problem with the matte top coat?

Nails of the Day: Tie Dye

I've seen this in many places, mostly called 'no water marble nails' but I think that they look a bit like tie dye so that's what I'm calling them.

So this is what I used:
Yellow stopper as a base,
Natural Collection- white,
Collection 2000- Blue My Mind,
Rimmel- Peppermint
Sally Hanson Insta-Dri Top Coat.

This is the first time I've tried the sandwich bag technique but I'm pretty pleased with how it has turned out and will definitely be trying it out again.

Intensive Treatment Foot Pack Review

For my first review I'm going to do it on a product that I used today anyway!

This is a tea tree and peppermint intensive treatment foot pack purchased from B&M bargains for 99p. My feet are horrible and are always so dry so when I saw this I just had to try it.
